DPC is an alternative to the traditional fee-for-service healthcare model. We charge a monthly fee for access to our office. In turn, patients have access to preventive care, routine doctor’s visits, urgent care and basic health coaching with no per-visit fee. Labs, diagnostic procedures and minor inpatient surgery are all available in-house at significantly reduced rates.

No. DPC covers services here in our office, but does not apply to specialists, ERs, or hospitalization.

No,though we recommend that you pair our service with at least a catastrophic (high-deductible) insurance plan. Visit BCBSNC or Coventry, or sign up at the ACA Marketplace. If you are enrolled in Synergy’s direct care plan, your office visits are covered by your monthly fee.

Anyone can join, whether they’re employed by one of our participating businesses or choose to enroll on an individual basis.

If your employer pays your monthly fee, all you’ll pay for is any services such as bloodwork, x-rays, or stitches. Otherwise, we’ll set up an automatic monthly payment for your membership and then you’ll pay our office should you need any additional services. We accept cash, check, Visa and MC.

Through a partnership with Blue Ridge Pharmacy, our direct care patients are eligible for 300 generic drugs priced at $4, $10 and $20. Blue Ridge Pharmacy delivers to your home or work, and has an app where you can schedule your refills from your phone.

If your condition requires care beyond what we can provide in our office, we will do our best to refer you to someone who will be able to help you. If you have insurance, we will send you to someone in your network. If you are uninsured, we can provide a list of practitioners who will provide you with specialized services on a discounted basis. This includes colonoscopies, eye exams, counseling services, dermatology and more.

Any services we render will be charted electronically and added to your personal medical record. Once you create an account, you may access those records here through our patient portal. Ask our front desk about signing up.
